Its unique fibrous structure creates a multitude of tiny air pockets, effectively minimizing heat transfer through conduction, convection, and radiation. This results in an extremely low thermal conductivity value, typically ranging from 0.12 W/m·K at 400°C to 0.22 W/m·K at 1000°C, depending on density and grade. By drastically reducing heat loss from industrial furnaces, kilns, and heaters, our boards enable faster heat-up times, lower fuel or energy consumption, and more stable internal temperatures. This not only cuts operational costs but also enhances product quality in heat-treatment processes. The low heat storage (thermal mass) further contributes to energy efficiency, as less energy is wasted in heating the furnace structure itself during cyclic operations.
